BARNARDO’S and RTE 2FM turned back the clocks for the charity’s National Collection Day.
The radio station supported the charity by throwing it back and playing the best hits of the 90s throughout the day – with special guests on air.

A spokesperson said last week: “Listen to RTE 2FM on the day to reminisce about your happiest childhood memories and help Barnardo’s create magical memories for some of the most vulnerable children in Ireland.
“We’ll also be joined on air by some very special guests!
“With your support, we can make this our biggest National Collection Day yet!”
Sponsored by Dell Ireland, RTE 2FM urged people to “flash the cash if you can” and text WIN to 50300 for €4 to win a stay in Ballygarry House Hotel in Co Kerry.
The competition closed at 5pm on Friday – with the charity receiving €3.60 in donations.
5K FRIDAY CHALLENGE
The charity has in the past involved over 1,000 volunteers organising bag-packs and on-street collections to fundraise in communities right across the country.
This year, Barnardos invites you to take part in their 5k Friday Challenge and join their community of virtual fundraisers.

The charity said: “Run, skip, cycle, swim or walk 5K – it doesn’t matter how you do it, the important thing is to do it and to show your support.
“Make a donation or set up a Facebook fundraiser and be part of something special.”
