SCRUBBING permanent marker off the walls just got a whole lot easier.
We all know toddlers love to show off their artistic skills on bare walls, but an Irish mum has revealed a useful hack which can erase these seemingly permanent scribbles.

And it will save everyone a lot of tears and tantrums.
A woman called Shauna, from Kerry, who goes by @home.diy.diary on Instagram revealed the trick that will remove your toddlers masterpieces from the walls.
She said: “Quick PSA for parents with toddlers, suncream actually gets permanent marker off the wall.
“I don’t know why it works, I have no idea if it will damage your walls but if you are as desperate as I was, this is the moment I found out this hack actually works.”
Shauna then finds a scribble of blue marker on the wall, sprays it with a can of suncream and rubs off the mark.
After three sprays, the blue marker instantly disappeared and was then completely erased, leaving a clean wall behind.

And her 31,000 followers were left amazed by the hack.
One said: “Oh my god, my mind is blown.”
While another said: “Oh wow never knew this.”
Shauna warned that by rubbing the marker off, a thin layer of paint also comes off ‘to some extent’ – but she says it’s ‘barely noticeable.’
She added: “I can see that the wall will need a spot paint touch up where I wiped it which tells me it’s probably stripping some of that top layer of paint to some extent. But I’ll take it! it’s not even noticeable.”
CLEAN SURFACES
Meanwhile, another cleaning expert has revealed the surfaces people always forget to clean in their home.
The woman, who goes by @VanesaMaro91 on TikTok, said light switches and door handles are regularly forgotten.
“Like come on people, get with the program,” she said in the video.
“You literally touch them every single day, multiple times a day.”
It’s true—while these surfaces are handled constantly (often before we’ve washed our hands), they are ignored when it comes to tidying up.
Luckily, these spots are easy to clean.
She says: “Just grab the disinfectant of your choice and grab a soft and plushy microfiber towel.”
