TUCKING into snacks while settling down in front of a film on the sofa is the perfect way to spend an evening.
So it’s inevitable that over the course of a few years you’re going to drop a few crumbs down the sides of the furniture – especially if kids are involved.

Comedian Isy Suttie, who stars in hit TV show Peep Show, took to Twitter and shared a snap of her discovery, alongside a caption which read: “If anyone wants to feel better about your life, this is what was under our sofas when we moved them into the new house.”

Offering an explanation as to how the mess had accumulated, Isy told LadBible that the sofas had been there for eight years – and that she’d never moved or cleaned under them.

“The two mouldy satsumas were the worst things,” Isy explained.
“The thing that everyone is talking about is the Police Squad! DVD so at least I look slightly cool. It could so easily have been Frozen.”

And there was one particular item that really caught people’s attention – a copy of the 1982 hit film, Police Squad!

“Bloody hell, how long has it been since you checked under the sofa? 1995?” joked one.
A second quipped: “I bet the first thing you did was put on Police Squad in the new house.”
In response, Isy replied: “The thing that everyone is talking about is the Police Squad! DVD so at least I look slightly cool. It could so easily have been Frozen.”
Another item of lost property to garner attention was a purple-haired doll.
“And I’m wondering how do you NOT look under the couch when your child loses a doll? Or did they just have a spare ready to go?” asked one.
Isy responded by explaining that the doll was the least “emotionally valuable thing under there.”
She continued: “I really didn’t expect the three items of clothing and daren’t get them out of the carrier bag they got put in.
“I can genuinely say there is nothing that anyone noticed was missing.

“I think the main culprit is my three-year-old son who likes chucking stuff down the back. Then it seems like it just gets sucked underneath.”
She added: “I’d like to say the same thing won’t happen in the new house but everyone should expect a similar photo in 20 years time.”
